Custom shapes need artwork on a transparent background. We handle that step: your photo is cut out first, then the blade path is generated from the subject’s outline.

About custom shapes
Custom shape or standard? Pick custom shape when the silhouette is the point. Pick a standard shape for a cheaper, uniform set.
Which artwork works best? A clear subject with clean edges. Wispy hair, sheer fabric and semi-transparent edges are harder to cut, so order one first to check.
Does it cost more? Slightly more than a standard shape at the same size, because the blade path is generated per design. The price is on each style.
